Hooray for Volunteers
This month we’d
like to recognize Library Volunteer Tina Howard. Tina began
volunteering her time to The Library shortly after moving to Hobson in
2005. Her latest project is weeding and covering The Library’s Fiction
section. We’re so thankful that our collection will be protected and
looking great for a long time. Thank you Tina!
Several
volunteers have offered to help with the Collaborative Summer
Reading Program and ‘I Love to Read’ month. The Library is still
looking for a volunteer to teach a beginning Internet class.
Pre-School Story Hour
The Library’s
next Preschool Story Hour will be at 10:15 on Wednesday, December
19th. We will be reading Merry Christmas, Merry Crow by
Kathy Appelt.
Shortly
before Christmas, a crow flies about the city, finds odd little bits
of trash and treasure, and carries them away for some mysterious
purpose.
New Wednesday hours Just a reminder the Hobson Library is now open from 9 – 1 on Wednesdays. As a reminder, the Library hours are Tuesday & Thursday from 10 – 6 and Wednesdays from 9-1.
World Book Online Encyclopedia This year the Library will again provide access to World Book Online Encyclopedia. The link to World Book is available at www.hobsonlibrary.org. Be sure to use the new user name and password since the one from last year is no longer valid.
